Kwara-Born Ethical Hacker, Yunus Oyetunde, Makes Apple’s 2025 Hall of Fame—For the Fifth Time
For the fifth time, Kwara-born cybersecurity expert and ethical hacker, Yunus Oyetunde (Coy Emerald), has been recognized by Apple for his contributions to security research. He is Offa-born and he remains the only Nigerian to be globally acknowledged on Apple’s prestigious 2025 Security Researchers List, a recognition reserved for top ethical hackers who help protect the tech giant’s vast ecosystem of over 2.2 billion active devices.
Apple officially published the 2025 Apple Web Server Security Acknowledgements, where it stated:
“Apple publishes this article to acknowledge and thank those who reported potential security issues in our web servers. Credit is added after the issue has been identified and addressed.”
This recognition cements Yunus Oyetunde’s status as one of Nigeria’s most accomplished cybersecurity experts, having carved a niche for himself in ethical hacking. He is the CEO and lead instructor of O-range Ethical Hacking Class, a fast-growing cybersecurity training initiative.
His expertise has earned him accolades from some of the world’s largest tech companies, including Google, Microsoft, Apple, Branch, and India’s top car marketplace, DROOM. In addition, the Nigeria Police Force commended him for strengthening the security of a critical national application.
